Leather Crafts - Belts and Purses

Description

Leather worker Ruth Pullan specialises in creating hand stitched bags and accessories using high quality British materials.

Join her for this workshop which will give you the basic skills needed for leatherwork. Using these skills you will first choose your colour from a range of shades and treat and dye a piece of leather with which you will go on to make a simple coin purse in the morning .

In the afternoon you will make a belt from a selected length of hide that has been previously cut to your size and dyed by Ruth to the colour of your choice.

By the end of the day you will have the confidence to apply these newly learnt techniques to your own projects.

A hot lunch will be provided from the Regather kitchens. We will be in touch about food preferences.
