Come and join Blacksmiths Iain Jones and David Southgate from Forge Four Blacksmithing for a taster session in Blacksmithing.
On this hour long taster session make your very own hooks or ornamental leaf to take away with you and learn the basics of blacksmithing.
There are two forges. Each anvil/forge will accommodate 2 participants – book on with a friend!
IMPORTANT
Forging metal involves very high temperatures and flying sparks.
Participants should wear old clothing, stout shoes and tie long hair back.
They should refrain from drinking alcohol before taking part.
The sessions are run on a 2-1 ratio and are safe when participants follow tutors instructions. However participants putting themselves or others at risk will be asked to stop the session and leave the area.
