Description

Regather Comedy Club is entering its two month preview season ahead of the Edinburgh Fringe where national comedy anxiety reaches a fever pitch. During this time we're inviting some of our favourite acts to come preview their full Edinburgh Shows at Regather Comedy Club ahead of a month long run at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

This month we have:

JORDAN BROOKES - Body Of Work

In August 2015 Jordan's Nanna, Gwendoline Martha Brookes, passed away. She was 95. This show is a genuine attempt to pay tribute to her. That can't be the whole thing can it? I thought Brookes did absurdist stuff? Like, bits that go on for ages and horrible physical stuff, daft faces, spitting down himself etc? Is he just going to talk about his Nan for an hour? Surely not.

✭✭✭✭ 'Doesn't sacrifice laughs for the sake of artistic stretch' Chortle
✭✭✭✭✭ 'Breath-taking, hugely original' Fest
✭✭✭✭ 'Caustically funny and surprising' The Scotsman
'Self-pitying' - Fringe Biscuit

TIERNAN DOUIEB - Miserably Happy

Political comedian and host of the Partly Political Broadcast podcast and occasional support act for Frankie Boyle, Tiernan is bringing his sixth solo show to the Edinburgh Fringe this year "Miserably Happy".
"Very funny but fiercely political" - Time Out
"It's a really lovely show, really good. A really good show." - Mark Thomas
✭✭✭✭✭ "The show is funny, but more than that it's interesting and, actually, a little bit life-affirming" - Giggle Beats

"Opinionated yet likeable" - The Guardian

Two incredible comedians performing festival shows back to back.
